The Community Caregiving Initiative responds to a growing need to care for those who care for others. Through research, funding, workshops and trainings, the initiative convenes community partners to improve the lives of family caregivers and remove barriers to their ability to access services.
The LEAF Initiative responds to agricultural needs and environmental concerns impacting Santa Barbara County. Through large-scale projects and funding, the initiative works with community partners to advance strategies that increase land conservation, promote ecosystem health, ensure agricultural viability and improve the local food system.
The Community Disaster Relief Fund responds to the needs of nonprofit organizations that are assisting individuals and families in the wake of the fires, mudslides and other natural disasters affecting Santa Barbara County. Through a partnership with the Santa Barbara County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD), the fund provides financial resources to support nonprofit and government response and recovery efforts in the aftermath of an emergency.
The Santa Barbara County Veterans Needs Assessment identifies opportunities to create and improve programs and services for veterans in the county. Through a community wide data collection and assessment process, the project provides a resource used by nonprofit organizations and the business community to better serve those who have served.
