[Page Updated 8/30/21] Santa Barbara County is no stranger to disasters. Like many other counties in California, we know how it feels when a wildfire strikes at home. We also know how it feels when our fellow community foundations across this great state rally their community resources to lend a helping hand. At the Santa Barbara Foundation, we want to continue this tradition and have provided links to relief funds for the various fires that are occurring throughout our state should you wish to donate.

UPDATE: Noozhawk reports on 8/30/21, “With fires raging across the state, the U.S. Forest Service is closing all 20 million acres of California’s national forests to public access for two weeks beginning Tuesday. In an announcement Monday, the Forest Service said the closure, which includes Los Padres National Forest in Santa Barbara County, will extend through at least Sept. 17.”
