Better Together Award

Nominations for the Better Together Award Are Now Closed

This award recognizes a nonprofit organization that has shown a commitment to working collaboratively with other organizations to create greater impact in the communities they serve. The award seeks to pay tribute and celebrate the creation of more effective solutions to community challenges brought about by making our community better together. In so doing, this award acknowledges that no single organization can succeed in achieving real and sustained impact on its own. The theme “Better Together” communicates the Foundation’s belief that sometimes it takes a community effort to meet exceptional challenges facing our communities today.

Nominees will be nonprofit organizations that have built collaborative relationships with other nonprofits, businesses or individuals from the other sectors whose combined efforts have had a significant and positive impact on the complex and dynamic systems and communities within Santa Barbara County. Many types of partnerships will be accepted for nomination, including but not limited to: collaborating with one or more nonprofit organizations on a single project or goal; collaborating with an elected official or public agency on a specific project or goal (could include other nonprofit organizations in the collaboration); collaborating with a business on a common goal (could include other nonprofit organizations in the collaboration).

The recipient of the Better Together Award will receive a $25,000 grant/award to use toward continuing their collaborative work.
