In her role as chief philanthropic officer/senior vice president, Jan Campbell is responsible for all donor services including gifts, grants, planned giving, as well as engagement and education.
With 35 years of experience in both the commercial and nonprofit sectors, Jan previously held management positions in systems consulting and marketing at Digital Equipment Corporation; Oppenheim, Appel, Dixon & Co.; and Bartlett, Pringle & Wolf, CPAs. She was also the business manager for the Santa Barbara Independent; editor and publisher of the Valley Voice in Goleta; vice president of communications and administration for an Internet startup, WEBALG; development director for Page Youth Center; and administrator for Heal the Ocean.
Jan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara and certificates in accounting and college counseling. She is currently a member of the UC Santa Barbara Alumni Association Board, Women's Fund of Santa Barbara, and Women's Fund of Northern Santa Barbara County, and Ojai Women's Fund. A founding member of the Central Coast MIT Enterprise Forum and the Women’s Day Conference, Jan has also served on the Board of Directors for Montessori Center School and the Santa Barbara Education Foundation.
