The Partnership for Resilient Communities

Formed by local residents who were compelled to act after the tragic 1/9 debris flow in Montecito, the Partnership for Resilient Communities is focused on safety and resiliency in support of and to augment public sector efforts in Santa Barbara County. The goals are to serve as a model public private partnership to determine feasible mitigation efforts to reduce the risk of future debris flow; to engage high level global experts experienced in disaster mitigation and recovery; to tap into all possible funding and talent needed; and to work in concert with the County and Montecito’s governmental entities, federal and state agencies and citizens to rebuild a community that is safer, stronger and more resilient than before. All proceeds will go toward these efforts.
