Jessica Sanchez

Jessica Sanchez is the donor relations manager for the Santa Barbara Foundation. In this role, she is responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with donors and fund advisors, advising on best practices in philanthropic giving, strategically adding value to the donor experience through aligned giving opportunities, and collaborating with other department members to leverage opportunities and facilitate meaningful engagement experiences for donors. In addition, Jessica works closely with current and prospective donors to establish donor advised funds, donor designated funds, field of interest funds, fiscal sponsorship funds, agency endowments and more.

Prior to joining the foundation, Jessica worked for Farmers Insurance as a customer service representative and as a tutor for Carney Educational Services. Working for Carney Educational Services, she assisted children in their ability to meet academic and social needs. As a tutor, she engaged, empowered, and motivated students toward grade level proficiency.

Jessica appreciates the perspective the foundation offers to nonprofit organizations and the county by enriching the lives of people through philanthropy and working together to bring about a more vibrant community. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts degree in global studies and Chicano studies and has received her paralegal certificate through the UCSB Extension Program.
