Diane Adam

Diane Adam has served the central coast community in many capacities. She was board chair during the revitalization of the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum, participated as chairperson on a capital campaign for the museum, and the inaugural annual fund campaign for St. Patrick School. Diane has also served the schools that her children attended as parent board member, fundraiser, and special event coordinator. As a member of the 2001-2002 class of Katherine Harvey Fellows, she became involved with the Santa Barbara Foundation and was subsequently asked to chair the Santa Maria Affiliate. Additionally, Diane is a member of the steering committee for the Women’s Fund of Northern Santa Barbara County as membership chair. She has been a mentor and advisor to many individuals in the community and volunteers many hours toward interviewing students in local junior high and high schools.

Currently serves as board president at the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum. She previously served as a board member and capital campaign leader for the museum, as well as stewardship board member, Parents’ Club officer, auction chair and chairperson of the inaugural annual fund for St. Patrick School. She was also a member of the 2001-2002 class of Katherine Harvey Fellows.

Diane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology/medical technology from Colorado State University. She has worked as a clinical laboratory scientist for both Marian Medical Center in Santa Maria and French Hospital in San Luis Obispo.

A fourth-generation Nipomo resident, Diane is married with two children. Her husband Kieran is a fifth generation farmer in the Santa Maria Valley where he and his two brothers run Adam Brothers Farming, Inc.
