Santa Barbara Foundation Harvests Philanthropy, Community and Gratitude This Thanksgiving

If you could describe Thanksgiving in one word, what would you say? Turkey? Tradition? Family? With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it can be easy to forget what Thanksgiving is really about: Gratitude. This is exactly why the Santa Barbara Foundation is taking the time to express our gratitude to the nonprofits, donors and community partners that not only make our work possible, but give it meaning. Thank you for helping us foster philanthropy and strengthen Santa Barbara County as we strive to build a community in which everyone gives thanks. Happy Thanksgiving from the Santa Barbara Foundation family to yours:

“I am thankful for the support of my friends, the continual opportunities to grow and the knowledge that I get to play a small part in the amazing work that the Santa Barbara Foundation participates in.” – Cody Howen, Donor Services Associate

“I am thankful for having the opportunity to work every day with the many thoughtful, generous and caring people throughout this beautiful county who understand that when we listen and engage with each other, there is no problem that we cannot solve, no challenge that we cannot meet and no dream we cannot realize.” – Ron Gallo, President & CEO

“I’m thankful for working with passionate and dedicated people every day who inspire, stimulate and challenge me all in a good way and for the opportunity to impact, influence and govern in the community, state and nation. A loss is only a new challenge to overcome and a win is only a platform for the next step.” – Sharyn Main, Senior Director of Community Investment

“I’m thankful for simply loving coming into work every day and working alongside such talented, passionate and caring colleagues.” – Celine Delpoux, Senior Accountant

“I am grateful to work for an organization that is far-reaching, touching the lives of my family, my neighbors and my community, and that in some way alleviates the hardships, hurdles and complexities of the world we currently live in. I am so blessed to be able to tuck my daughter into bed every night, to cuddle with her and to know that she goes to bed safe and happy.” – Guille Gil-Reynoso, Community Investment Officer

“I am grateful for the opportunity to work with smart, engaged colleagues on work that matters to the community I love. I am also grateful for my 32 year relationship with my husband Randy, who makes me laugh every day, my two strong-willed and super smart daughters, fresh organic food year round, the SBCC stadium steps, my crazy Jack Russell terrier, my best friend and soul sister, Julie Capritto, and so much more.” – Jan Campbell, Chief Philanthropic Officer and Senior Vice President
