Ongoing Grant Opportunities

Express Grants

Grants up to $5,000 are offered monthly through the foundation’s Express Grant program. While we are offering three broad funding categories in 2016, agencies are encouraged to think deep about their organizational and programmatic capacity needs and consider opportunities like executive coaching, engaging a consultant to help develop program metrics, or specific training. Click here for more helpful tips on applying for Express Grants. Meanwhile, here are some examples of what might be considered in each category:

  • Campaign feasibility studies
  • Organizational assessment/strategic planning
  • Executive transitions/succession planning
  • Program/organizational metrics and evaluation
  • Systems support or enhancements
  • Exploratory strategic alliances

  • Conferences § Workshops/trainings
  • Coaching (tuition requests for Leading From Within programs are not eligible as the foundation directly supports scholarship opportunities through its partnership with Leading From Within)

  • Program design and piloting
  • Strategic marketing, communications or donor development efforts

The deadline for express grant applications is the first Monday of each month (until November) and the turnaround is quick! As always, collaborative efforts are encouraged. Due to the holiday, Tuesday, July 5th is the next deadline.
