Human Services

The Foundation recognizes a responsibility to help ensure that shelter, sustenance and social services are provided throughout the community. This encompasses programs that address the basic needs required by all and the special needs required by a few. Counseling, day care and senior centers, transportation providers, and disaster relief groups are included in this field of interest. The Foundation supports organizations that:

  • Address basic needs such as food and shelter
  • Improve access to services such as foster care and legal aid
If you would like to support the Foundation in this area of grantmaking, you can help by:
  1. Giving directly to the charities listed above
  2. Giving an unrestricted gift to the Foundation for the support of Health & Human Services
  3. Creating your own named fund (Donor Advised Fund) to support Health & Human Services
Unfortunately, those resources do not cover all the grant requests received. Nonprofit organizations applying for grants most often only receive a portion of the funds they requested.
