Fees

The Santa Barbara Foundation charges an administrative fee for funds that are housed at the Foundation.

Annual administrative fee for all Restricted Funds is as follows:

Minimum annual fee: $500
Fee on the first $1,000,000 1.00%
Fee on the amount exceeding the first
$1 million,
up to $5 million
0.75%
Fee on the amount exceeding
$5 million
0.50%

Investment Fees
Each fund pays its prorated share of the investment fees
Total investment fees can range from 1% to 1.25% and include:
  • Custody fees—Wells Fargo
  • Consulting fees—Hammond & Associates
  • Management fees—(30 managers)

Fee Schedule
The fee is:
  • *Payable on January 1st
  • *Based on a rolling average of the market value for the previous 12 quarters
  • *For the calendar year commencing January 1st

Investment management fees are drawn from the funds directly


Funds that require a separate administration process:
*Fee will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis, depending upon estimated expenses directly related to the administration of the fund.
