The Santa Barbara Foundation’s investment strategy is designed to achieve superior returns while moderating risk, with the goal of enabling our donors to achieve both their philanthropic and financial objectives. The Foundation’s investment goal is to preserve the purchasing power of the endowment, specifically to achieve a total return equal to or greater than budgeted spending, plus an amount equal to the long-term inflation rate.
In 2006, the Foundation's investments performed strongly producing a 13.6% net return. Our average annual return over the past three years is 12.5%. |
