Student Aid

Since 1932, the Santa Barbara Foundation has awarded more than $40 million in aid to students from Santa Barbara County. Last year, more than 1,650 students received loans and scholarships totaling more than $2.5 million.

Eligibility
Applicants Must:

  1. be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card)

  2. have attended at least four of the six secondary grade years at a Santa Barbara County school, and graduate or receive a GED from a Santa Barbara County high school
    (not required for the Leni Fe Bland Music Award Program or for younger children applying for the SBF Music Award Program)

  3. be planning to attend full-time as an undergraduate or medical/graduate student at an approved school
    (not required for younger students applying to the SBF Music Award Program)
