Since 1932, the Santa Barbara Foundation has awarded more than $31 million in aid to students from Santa Barbara County. Each year about 1,000 loans and scholarships are made totaling more than $2 million.
Students must be going to school in Santa Barbara County with the exception of our Leni Fe Bland music scholarship program, where students must be going to school in California.
Applicants Must:
- be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card)
- have attended at least four of the six secondary grade years at a Santa Barbara County school, and graduate or receive a GED from a Santa Barbara County high school
(not required for the Leni Fe Bland music scholarship program or for younger children applying for the SBF music scholarship program)
- be planning to attend full-time as an undergraduate or medical/graduate student at an approved school
(not required for younger students applying to the SBF music scholarship program)
- General Loans for college/graduate school
- General Scholarships for college/graduate school
- High School Senior Awards
- Music Scholarships
- Creative Writing Scholarships
