Teen After-School Scholarship Program
Funded by The Orfalea Fund

Goals of the Program
1. To provide after-school programs that engage and affect youth on a long-term basis

2. To support after-school programs that help teens expand their hands-on experiential education, prepare for college or vocational school, develop leadership and life skills and obtain work experience

The final objective is to help teens develop critical thinking skills and confidence to accomplish their life goals.

Priority will be given to programs that:
1. Conduct outreach to underserved and/or underprivileged kids
AND
2. Are geared towards prevention, rather than cure

Qualities that serve as good examples of what we are looking for include:
1.
Programs that seek to enrich and expand the lives and vision of teens through engagement with the community, service, personal challenge and teamwork

2. Programs that teach team-building, acceptance of diversity and other important life skills
