Unity Shoppe: 100 YEARS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE

The Unity Shoppe presents a Celebration of 100 Years of Community Service to thank those who joined in a collaborative effort to give the community a “Distribution Center” for those suffering a personal crisis, fire or flood. Join KEYT, Kenny Loggins, the Unity Shoppe Board and Friends for an evening of tributes and entertainment by local youth, volunteers, celebrities, and supporters. They will commemorate the CommUnity effort of all those who have supported the growth of Unity Shoppe’s services to assist thousands of low-income families, children, the elderly and disabled throughout Santa Barbara County.

2016 Celebrate Philanthropy Awards

Sponsored by the Santa Barbara Foundation and the Santa Maria Times, Celebrate Philanthropy honors individuals, couples or families who, through direct service or financial support, have demonstrated outstanding civic and charitable work in the Santa Maria Valley.

Honorees demonstrate a personal commitment to philanthropy; encourage or motivate others to become philanthropic leaders; give significant support (time and/or money) to nonprofit organizations; participate in broad-based charitable activities; work to improve the quality of life for residents in the Santa Maria Valley; and exhibit qualities such as creativity, collaboration and effective stewardship of community resources.
