Santa Barbara County Annual Arts Symposium

The County Office of Arts & Culture presents funding sources, opportunities and strategies available to organizations and individuals countywide. Wonderful guest speakers, including the California Arts Council, Center for Creative Innovation,and the Santa Barbara Foundation, will make this a day not to be missed. Lunch is included.

We welcome artists, arts supporters, cultural organizations and representatives from every arts discipline, including but not limited to performing arts, visual arts, dance, theatre, music, literary arts, music and venues.

2016 Celebrate Philanthropy Awards

Sponsored by the Santa Barbara Foundation and the Santa Maria Times, Celebrate Philanthropy honors individuals, couples or families who, through direct service or financial support, have demonstrated outstanding civic and charitable work in the Santa Maria Valley.

Honorees demonstrate a personal commitment to philanthropy; encourage or motivate others to become philanthropic leaders; give significant support (time and/or money) to nonprofit organizations; participate in broad-based charitable activities; work to improve the quality of life for residents in the Santa Maria Valley; and exhibit qualities such as creativity, collaboration and effective stewardship of community resources.
